Meet Winston-Salem Dentist Trent Bottoms, D.D.S.
Dr. Trent Bottoms was in 7th grade when he decided he wanted to be a dentist! His dream was to eventually own his own practice, where he could connect with patients and provide them with a warm and welcoming environment and provide the best care possible. He continued to pursue his dream and set his sights on dental school. He graduated as the Valedictorian of North Forsyth High School in Rural Hall, NC and then went on to UNC Chapel Hill where he majored in Biology.
Dr. Bottoms met his wife and fellow Winston Salem native, Alissa, at Carolina. The two stayed in Chapel Hill while Dr. Bottoms attended Dental School. While in dental school Dr. Bottoms was awarded an Albert Schweitzer fellowship where he created dentures for residents of the Durham Rescue Mission.
Dr. Bottoms decided to pursue a General Practice Residency to become well trained in implant placement and restoration, so after graduation from UNC’s Dental School, Trent and Alissa moved to Augusta, Georgia where he completed a residency program. Dr. Bottoms placed many implants during his residency and became adept at very comprehensive dental treatment.
Near the completion of his residency program through what felt like divine intervention, Dr. Bottoms was introduced to Dr. Clark. Drs. Bottoms and Clark worked together for a period before Dr. Clark decided to fully retire. Dr. Bottoms strives to continue the legacy of compassion and high quality care that Dr. Clark has always provided to his patients.
Dr. Bottoms believes in the importance of community service. He volunteers for the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission, providing pro-bono dental care to members of the community.
Shortly after taking over the practice, Trent and Alissa welcomed their first child, Easton, in September of 2022. In his free time, Dr. Bottoms enjoys spending time with Alissa and Easton, golfing, fly fishing, and cheering for the Tar Heels.
Dr. Bottoms takes great pride in providing attention to detail, compassionate care, and a patient- centered approach. He wants you to feel confident about your treatment plan and will spend time discussing a range of options with you.
