Known for his gentle demeanor, clinical precision, and transparency, Dr. Bottoms is proud to offer comprehensive dental care to the same community that shaped him
A Calling That Started Early
Dr. Bottoms knew he wanted to become a dentist back in seventh grade. What started as a dream to work with his hands and help people grew into a mission: to create a practice where patients feel safe, valued, and confident in their care.
He graduated as valedictorian of North Forsyth High School and went on to major in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While in dental school at UNC, he was awarded an Albert Schweitzer Fellowship for his work creating dentures for underserved residents at the Durham Rescue Mission — an experience that deepened his belief in service-driven care.
Advanced Training in Implant Dentistry & Comprehensive Care
After earning his dental degree from UNC, Dr. Bottoms completed a General Practice Residency in Augusta, Georgia — a program that gave him advanced experience in:
Dental implant placement and restoration
Full-arch rehabilitation and oral surgery
Complex restorative cases and patient management
Advanced imaging and treatment planning technologies
Carrying on a Legacy of Care
Near the end of his residency, Dr. Bottoms was introduced to Dr. Clark, a retiring dentist in Winston-Salem who had spent decades caring for patients with compassion and excellence. After working together and earning Dr. Clark’s trust, Dr. Bottoms took over the practice and committed to continuing that same legacy of warmth, integrity, and high-quality care.

Beyond the Office
Dr. Bottoms met his wife, Alissa — also a Winston-Salem native — during their time at UNC. The two stayed in Chapel Hill for dental school and have since returned home to build a life rooted in family and community.
Today, they’re proud parents to their son, Easton. When he’s not in the office, you’ll often find Dr. Bottoms golfing, fly fishing, or cheering on the Tar Heels.
He also gives back through volunteer work with the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission, where he provides pro-bono dental care for those in need.
